Frank Foust

Frank Foust, age 85, of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, July 9.

Frank was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Lake City to the late William Owen and Dora Miller Foust.

A veteran of the United States Army and Navy, Frank moved to Oak Ridge in 1945. Frank was employed with Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 48 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Faith Masonic Lodge, where he was a 33rd degree mason. Frank enjoyed playing softball and was an avid camper and outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his brother Jakie Foust; sisters, Swela Slover, Daphma Johnson, and Lois Lee Foust; son Timothy Foust; and grandson James Aaron Foust.

Frank is survived by his wife, Thomasine Hazel “Tommy” Foust of Oak Ridge; his sons, Kevin Foust and his wife Cheri of Harriman, and Kim Foust of Tampa, Fla.; brother Bobby Foust and his wife Delores of Nashville; grandchildren, Kevin Foust II and Alex Foust, both of Harriman; great-grandson Kolton; and niece Janice Blizzard and her husband Steve of Clinton.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 12, from 6 t0 7:30 p.m. with the funeral service following at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Ottis Ball and Rev. James Bandy officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
