Dale Burchfield

Dale Burchfield, age 40, a resident of New River, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 30.

Dale was born June 5, 1973, in Lake City. He was a lifelong resident of New River Community in Anderson County.

Dale was employed as a machinist/metal fabricator. He and his wife formerly owned and operated Oliver Springs Flower and Garden.

He was an accomplished musician who played several instruments. He spent countless hours playing, and he also played professionally.

He loved the Lord, his family, and his friends, and he was a member of the Grave Hill Baptist Church.

Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Burchfield; by his in-laws, Rusty Abrams and Janice Cox; by his paternal grandparents, George Sherman Burchfield and Ada Burchfield; and by his maternal grandparents, John and Loney Jane Ipox.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie Marie Burchfield; by daughters; Ashley Renee, Amber Leann, Alicia Marie, and Angel Dale; by his father, Roy Burchfield; by his mother and her husband, Margie and Jerry Scarborough; by a brother, Samuel Burchfield and wife Debbie; and by a sister, Lisa Burchfield St. Angelo, all of New River.

He is also survived by nephews, Phillip Adam Burchfield and wife Jessica, and Thomas St. Angelo; by a niece, Kayla Adkins; by a great-nephew, Phillip Isaac Burchfield; by stepbrothers, Dakota and Dylan Roach of Clinton; and by several extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, between 6 and 9 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Thursday, July 4, at 1 p.m. at the Grave Hill Baptist Church on New River, with Rev. Keith Massengill, Rev. Sam White, and Rev. Jimmy Dean Byrge officiating. Burial will follow at the Grave Hill Cemetery.
