The Red Tent Women’s Group will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church. All women are welcome, a press release said. Although there is no child care available, nursing mothers are welcome to attend. Teen girls are encouraged to participate as well.
This group is a place where a woman can set aside the mantles of wife, mother, or daughter, and just celebrate being a female in all the many aspects life offers. The group is non-denominational, open-minded, and works to promote honest discussions about womanhood.
July’s topic is relationships.
“We will be sharing stories, laughing, crying, celebrating, learning, and gathering wisdom to help improve our personal lives as well as those of our sister community,” the press release said.
Attendees are asked to bring a dish or snack to pass. Drinks will be provided.
“We look forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time,” the release said.
August’s topic will be about body image with a discussion to follow.
The Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike.
