Elizabeth Bradley Crowley, 87, of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord at her home on Tuesday, June 18.

She was born in Selma, Ala., on March 26, 1926, the daughter of Birdia Anderson and Joe Mack Bradley.

She was married to William Crowley in Montgomery, Ala. Their union lasted for 52 years until his death in Nov. 1, 1999.

Mrs. Crowley was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and the company of her feline companions.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Crowley, son David Crowley, and son-in-law, Harrison Curry.

She leaves to mourn her memory, brother Eddie (Lee) Martin, of Millbrook, Ala.; children, Burt Gilbert, of New York, N.Y., Rosa Johnson(Wayne Shelton), of Nashville, Carolyn Ragin, of Columbia, S.C., William Joe Crowley Jr., of Kansas City, Mo., JoAnn Crowley, of Oak Ridge, Mary Alice Curry, of Rockford, Tenn., Willie-Ann (Tony) Patterson, of Nashville, Glenn (Michael) Ayers, of Seattle; 21 grandchildren, Gwen Bradley, Kim Foster, Sonja Gilbert, Jimmie Wells Jr., Eric Wells, Timothy Wells, Shana Wells, David Crowley, Patrick Crowley, Nicole Ragin, Trent Ragin, Troy Ragin, Ennis Crowley, Shawn Crowley, Weslee Jones, Daphne Crowley, Norlisha Crowley and her fiancé Carlos Parker Sr., Happy Crowley, Travis Crowley, LaTasha Crowley, and Jasmine Crowley; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 195 Wilberforce Avenue. The funeral will begin at 12 p.m. with Rev. T. L. Mims officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
