Louise Tuttle Haney, age 88, a resident of the Batley Community in Anderson County, passed away Friday, May 31, at her home.
Mrs. Haney was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Coal Creek, Tenn., which is now Lake City. She had lived in the Batley Community most of her life.
She was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord, and she was a member of the Batley Baptist Church. She also loved her family and she was a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy Tuttle and Retha Mae Tuttle McKamey; by her husband, Emmett Haney; by sons, Alfred, Billy, and Glen Haney; by a daughter, Betty Nelson; by a granddaughter, Tyler Brown; by son-in-laws, Roger Brown and Sam Nelson; and by a daughter-in-law, Vera Haney.
Mrs. Haney is survived by a daughter, Helen June Brown of Harriman; by a son, Ray Haney of Cleveland, Ohio,; by grandchildren, Murphy Haney, Denise Taylor, Karen Messamore, Rebekah Ward, Roger Chuck Brown, Eddie Brown, Vernon Brown, and Robin Haney; and by great-grandchildren; Canaan Ward, Jordan Haney, Lyllianne Izabella Brown, Olivia Brown, Ava Rose Brown, Aaron Brown, Mikey Messamore, Mikaela Messamore, and T.J. and Cody Taylor.
She is also survived by a special cousin, Earl Raines of Elizabethtown, Tenn., and by a host of other relatives and special friends.
The family received friends, Monday, June 3, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral followed at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Luke Kidwell officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at the Batley Cemetery.
