Roxanne Callan Wylie

Roxanne Callan Wylie, age 60, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 14, at Methodist Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 30, 1952, in Rotan, Texas.

Mrs. Wylie retired as operations manager from the Knoxville Post Office Credit Union. She was an active member of the Clinton Church of Christ. Her main focus in life was her family and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Wylie, and mother, Sarah Jane Callan.

She is survived by her father, Chester Callan and his wife, Glynetta of Rotan, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Stooksbury and husband Kelly, and son, Bryce Wylie and wife Charlotte, all of Knoxville; brothers, Robert Callan and wife Katie, of Tucson, Ariz., Keith Callan and wife Tonni, of Princeton, Texas, Larry Callan and wife Linda of Rotan, Texas, and Randy Callan and wife Cheryl, of Roby, Texas; sisters, Janet Branch and husband Robert, of Aspermont, Texas, and Andrea Dunham of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Adyson Wylie, Kelson Stooksbury, and Emery Wylie; life-long friends, J.D. and Linda Walker of Macon, Ga.; and special friends, Edye Ortiz of South Fulton, Tenn., and Diana Stanifer of Knoxville.

The family received friends Friday, May 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Clinton Church of Christ. The funeral followed at 7 p.m. with Garry L. Jones officiating.

Mrs. Wylie will be sent to Weathersbee Funeral Home in Rotan, Texas, where the family will receive friends Tuesday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Bellevue Cemetery in Rotan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
