Roane Chamber human resources seminar on Tuesday

The Roane Chamber of Commerce is providing a special seminar, “Stay out of court: Human Resource Legal Matters Update” on Tuesday May 14, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 pm at Roane State Community College.

The seminar will include lunch and provide 4.0 Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) credits to qualified attendees towards PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification, a press release said.

The topics covered during the seminar include:

  • Workers’ Compensation Reform
  • Everything You Wanted To Know About The FLSA But Were Afraid To Ask
  • What Now? A Health Care Reform Update
  • The Joys And Perils Of Social Media For Employers
  • Guns at Work: Legal Obligations and Liabilities for Employers

The cost for the seminar is $90, but there is a discounted price of $75 for members of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce and the Roane County Employers’ Association.

The seminar will be held in the O’Brien Building, ground floor Room O-101, at Roane State Community College, 276 Patton Lane, Harriman, TN 37748.
