Ronald “Ronnie” Herman LeTellier, age 64 of Powell, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Oak Ridge, the son of Herman Curtis LeTellier and Carrie Nation Kathleen Stinnett LeTellier. He was a 1967 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and was the lead singer in the popular 1960s band, The Rogues. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mr. LeTellier served with the U.S. Navy from 1968–1970.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack LeTellier, and sister, Betty LeTellier.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Snyder LeTellier; stepdaughter, Amy Coleman and husband Thomas, of Sweetwater; stepson, Randy Ferguson of Maryville; brother, Bob LeTellier and wife Joyce, of Kingston; five step-grandchildren, Lane and Caroline Ferguson, and Ben, Kaiya, and Sam Coleman; and by his beloved canine companion of 15 years, Celti.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Central Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Ellis officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 1 p.m. at the Clark Grove Cemetery in Maryville, with military honors provided by the Volunteer State War Era Veterans Honor Guard. Mark LeTellier, Brent LeTellier, Randy Ferguson, Butch Walters, Jim Hainline, Dick Hainline, Rod Snyder, and Larry Stewart will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Rogues Band, Charlie Collins, Bill Halsey, Mike Tabor, and Chip Zulliger are honorary pallbearers.

The family asks that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Weatherford Mortuary is handling the arrangements. An online guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
