Alicia Lynn Cotton

Alicia Lynn Cotton, age 35, of Knoxville, went home to be with her Saviour on Tuesday, April 23, at her home.

She was born April 1, 1978, in Knoxville, the daughter of Roger L. and Marva Newport Cotton, both of whom survive her.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, and enjoyed reading, music, and Bible study.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Beulah and Morris Newport, and Arvil and Nancy Cotton.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by sister, Alison L. Sage and husband Chad, of Knoxville; nieces, Cassidy Lauren Sage and Catherine Blair Sage of Knoxville; a very special cousin, Janet Soldner of Wartburg; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating and Rev. L. Gale Lyon assisting. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Cotton Family Cemetery in Helenwood.

The family asks that memorials be made to Mercy Ministries, PO Box 111060, Nashville, TN 37222-1060.
