Thomas Blair, age 60, of Oak Ridge, passed away on April 13 at his home.
Thomas was born on Aug. 3, 1952, in Oak Ridge to parents Robert and Jessie Peace Blair.
He had worked for Martin Marietta in quality control before his illness and attended Grace Covenant Church. He was a history buff and enjoyed detailing cars.
He was an Oak Ridge High School graduate, graduating in 1970, and he graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee in 1975.
His survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mylen Bailey Blair, of Oak Ridge; son, Justin Blair (Kayt), of Karns; sister, Susan Truex (Don), of Murfreesboro; twin brother, Bill Blair, of Lenoir City; half-brother, David Herndon, of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, John Paul Truex; longtime best friend, William Barnett, of Knoxville; and special feline companion, Yoda.
The family will receive friends at Weatherford Mortuary on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary on Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. with Dr. Larry Dipboye officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
