Violet Williams

Violet Williams, age 90, passed away Monday, April 8, at Methodist Medical Center.

She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family.

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie C. Brown and Eva (Smiddy) Brown; husband, Spencer Lee Williams; brothers, Ray Brown, and Buford Brown; and sisters, Helen McMahan, and Irene Jones.

Violet is survived by her sons, Danny Williams and wife Carlene of Chattanooga, Mark Williams and wife Barbara of Clinton, Billy Williams and wife Janice of Clinton; daughters, Wanda Williams of Lake City, Eva Jones and husband Terry of Clinton, and Delores Foley and husband Mike of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Violet’s family received her friends on Wednesday, April 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jones Mortuary with her funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Roger Nance and Rev. Justin Phillips officiating.

Violet’s interment will be on Thursday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Circle Cemetery in Briceville.
