An unoccupied mobile home was destroyed, but no one was injured in a fire early Sunday morning on Cumberland View Road in Marlow, authorities said.

The fire was reported at about 2:45 a.m. near Laurel Road, which is east of Oak Ridge and north of Highway 61.

The home was destroyed, said Stephanie Fox, Marlow Volunteer Fire Department assistant chief.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but it was not suspicious, so firefighters won’t be investigating, she said.

Fox said about 10 firefighters responded from the Marlow department, and it took them about three hours to put out the fire. They worked on protecting a nearby boat and recreational vehicle, which were okay, Fox said.

Crews left the scene at about 6 a.m. Sunday.

Fox said officials haven’t calculated the estimated loss.
