The Civitan Club of Clinton will hold its annual membership lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Shoney’s Restaurant near Interstate 75 in Clinton.
The speaker will be Tammy Pearson, governor of the Appalachian District of Civitan International.
Anyone interested in learning more about Civitan is invited to attend, Club President Ronnie Fox said.
“Our members are always looking for ways to give back to our community,” Fox said. “We have a diverse membership who love this place we call home and want to do anything we can to raise our quality of life.”
Civitan meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month and enjoys good fellowship as well as interesting speakers involved in activities affecting our lives, the press release said.
Teresa Portwood, president-elect of the Clinton Club, said she looks forward to Wednesday’s membership lunch with Pearson.
“She is so motivating to all of us as to how important our chapters are to our entire region,” Portwood said. “We leave the meeting ready to make our Anderson County the best place to live in Tennessee.”
The press release said Civitan is in the middle of its Vidalia onion sale. Contact any member to support this annual fundraising event.
