Barbara June Price

Barbara June Price, age 70, a resident of Coalfield, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 23, at Methodist Medical Center.

Mrs. Price was born April 7, 1942, in Oliver Springs. She was a lifelong resident of this area.

She served as the pastor of the Family Worship Center in the Stevens Community of Morgan County. Additionally, she served the church in various capacities since 1957. She loved the Lord, and shared her love of God with all that she met. She enjoyed mission work, the church and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Carl Seavers and Agnes Ada Liles Seavers, and by a brother, Paul Marshall Seavers.

She is survived by her husband, Pastor Frank Price of Coalfield; by daughters, Terri Groller of Knoxville, Cindi Griffith and husband William, of Coalfield, Barbie Loflin and husband Hal, of Smyrna, Angela Race and husband Bill of Concord, N.C., and Melody Schaar and husband Chris of the Stevens Community; by grandchildren, John, Jesse, and Kerra Groller, Corey and Whitney Griffith, Aaron, Matthew, and Kayti Loflin, Justin, Cameron, and Heather Kirkpatrick, Turner Race, Tripp Bracher, and Daniel Scharr; and by six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by one sister, two brothers, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends including her brothers and sisters at the Family Worship Center.

The family received friends Monday at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral followed in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Barbie Loflin officiating. Burial followed at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
