A Lake City man charged with robbery is accused of taking $120 from a woman at a store and then punching her in the eye, arrest warrants said.

Ty Harcourt, 19, and another man allegedly gave the woman a ride to a store on Feb. 13, the warrants said. She had reportedly promised them gas money.

When they arrived at the store, the woman said, she pulled out her money, and Harcourt allegedly grabbed the $120 and punched her in the eye, knocking her away from the truck.

Harcourt and the other man, who was driving, then allegedly fled at high speed in the truck, according to the warrants, filed in Anderson County General Sessions Court by Lake City Police Department Officer David Campbell.

Harcourt was arrested Tuesday, and remained jailed Wednesday evening. His bond has been set at $50,000, and he has a court hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. March 21.

Dang, I am glad they caught him….but then again, I hope she has learned a lesson to not to offer to paid someone to take her to the store that she doesn’t even know….It would be safer for her to call a Cab the next time
