David L. Edwards

David L. Edwards, age 48, of Clinton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 2, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

He loved to cook and enjoyed the outdoors. David was very outgoing and would help anyone who was in need.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Leander and Elsworth Mae Ellis, and David and Jennie B. Edwards.

David is survived by his mother, Sarah Evans and husband Harold of Clinton; father, Willie Edwards of Rockford, Ill.; sister, Tanya Smith and husband Charles of Clinton, Kimberly Fields of Georgia, Greta Lyles and husband William of Rockford, Ill., Kim Whitt Gibson of Clinton, Regina Wills of Rockford, Ill.; brothers, Byron Edwards of Knoxville and Willie Lee Edwards Jr.; special aunt, Mary Alice Willis of Corinth, Miss.; and niece, Kdnyatta Brown of Rockford, Ill. He also leaves behind to mourn his passing a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

David’s family will receive his friends on Saturday, March 9, from 1-2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with his funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Caldwell officiating. At David’s request, he will be cremated after his service.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
