Patricia Faye “Pat” Morgan

Patricia Faye “Pat” Morgan, age 69, a resident of Harriman, passed away Monday, March 4, at Methodist Medical Center.

Mrs. Morgan was born March 16, 1943, in Anderson County. She was a lifelong resident of this area.

Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the Dyllis Baptist Church.

She retired in 1999, following 20 years of employment at the Y-12 Federal Plant in Oak Ridge. She was a member of the Ritzy Thimble Quilters Guild in Oak Ridge. The local Quilters Guild often made quilts for the Oak Ridge Hospitality House, and this was an activity that she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Haggard and Mildred Coile Haggard; by a brother, William Haggard; and her former husband, Ray Futrell.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband of 29 years, Bill Morgan of Harriman; by a daughter, Sonya Hodgen and husband Paul of Fishersville, Va.; by a grandson, Zachary Hodgen’ and by step-sons, Michael Morgan of Kingston and Scott Morgan of Harriman.

She is also survived by sisters, Stella West of Claxton, and Hazel Lee and husband Lloyd of Lebanon, Tenn.; by brothers, Ronnie Haggard of N.C., Danny Haggard and wife Betty of Clinton, Gary Haggard of Powell, and David Haggard and Dale Haggard of Clinton; and by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Scott Kennedy and Pastor Tim McMichaels officiating. Burial and graveside services will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
