The two-hour workshops are scheduled for March 7, March 21, and April 11, from 1-3 p.m. at The Roane Alliance.

The first workshop, “Small Business Start-up,” is scheduled for March 7. It is designed for individuals who are considering self-employment, or are at the beginning stages of starting their business. The second workshop, “Business Planning,” is scheduled for March 21. It covers the fundamentals of writing a business plan and is designed for individuals who want to increase their chances for successful self-employment. The workshop covers business planning in detail. Specifics of marketing and finance, operations, financial projections, and information-based planning and management.

The third workshop, “Marketing on a Shoestring” is scheduled for April 11. The discussion will include market research and segmentation, no- and low-cost advertising tips, and general marketing planning ideas.

Registration is required to attend the free workshops. Seating in the workshops is limited. To register online for each workshop, go to http://www.roanestate.edu/?8121-TSBDC-Training. For questions, email TSBDC at jbangs@tsbdc.org or call (865) 483-2668.

The workshops begin at 1 p.m. and are being held at the Roane Alliance offices at 1209 N. Kentucky Street in Kingston.
