Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank has called a Monday morning press conference to address what she has called “false allegations,” a Thursday afternoon press release said.

“During that time, Mayor Frank will address false allegations brought against her by county commissioners,” the release said. “No other information will be released prior to Monday’s press conference.”

Frank is calling the press conference “Truth, Law and the Facts.” It starts at 10 a.m. Monday on the front steps of the Anderson County Courthouse in Clinton.

The Mayor’s Office declined to elaborate on the allegations on Thursday. But the Clinton Courier News reported on Sunday that Frank has had disputes with several commissioners since she was elected in August 2012 to serve the remaining two years of former mayor Rex Lynch’s term, and she and commissioners recently had a dispute over the county’s vehicle and travel policy.

In case of bad weather, Monday’s press conference will be moved indoors to the Mayor’s Office.

The Anderson County Courthouse is at 100 N. Main St. in Clinton.

The press conference should be good. Ms. Frank and her husband have all weekend to come up with something. Just remember, there are plenty of intelligent people out there. You two are not the only ones.
