The Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church has a rummage sale Friday and Saturday.

It will include easy-to-browse tables of items set up in the Social Hall and classrooms, yard and garden items displayed on the patio, and live and silent auctions and the Step Above Boutique, a press release said.

“This area will feature new and very gently-used, more-expensive items such as art work, designer clothing, jewelry, and collectibles,” the release said. “The boutique will be located in the entrance to the sanctuary, close to the checkout area.”

The press release said the shoppers have come to the sale for more than 20 years looking for housewares, such as linens, kitchenware, small appliances, furniture, and home décor, as well as clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family. Also available are low-cost computers and other electronic devices, all in working order, the release said.

“Being an advocate for recycling and repurposing, this sale saves items from loading our landfills, and instead finding a home with someone who can reuse it,” said Betsy Bauer, who for two decades has been the sale organizer.

The Rummage Sale and the Step Above Boutique are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. Prices are doubled on Friday evening for the sneak preview sale.

The Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

For more information, call the church office at (865) 483-6761.
