Two fires were reported Thursday night and early Friday morning at businesses in Clinton.

The first fire broke out Thursday night at Rexnord, and the second one occurred early Friday at Eagle Bend Manufacturing, according to WYSH Radio in Clinton. In both fires, no injuries were reported, and they are not believed to be suspicious in nature.

Equipment at both facilities suffered damage, but the extent of the damage was not immediately available, WYSH said.

The fire at the Rexnord Link Belt Plant on J.D. Yarnell Industrial Parkway occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The Clinton Fire Department requested mutual aid—a tower truck and personnel—from the Oak Ridge Fire Department. ORFD Tower 10, Engine 3, Chief Darryl Kerley, and Assistant Chief Josh Waldo responded.

The Clinton Fire Department ladder truck was out of service because of a mechanical problem.
