Reba Russell Hahn

Reba Russell Hahn, age 84, a resident of Harriman, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, at Harriman Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Hahn was born Jan. 24, 1928, in the Oakdale Community of Morgan County. She lived in Oliver Springs and Harriman for most of her life.

Reba was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In her early years, she worked as a seamstress in the textile industry.

Mrs. Hahn was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist church in Harriman.

Mrs. Hahn is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Powers and Sarah LuEmma Duncan Powers; brothers, Lewis, Charles, and Junior Powers; by sisters, Elsie Tedder, Pauline Stringfield, Corey Perkins, and Bonnie Gann; her first husband, John Blair Ladd; sons, Ronald Ray Ladd, Johnny Allen Ladd, and James Douglas Ladd; and her second husband, Jack Russell.

Mrs. Hahn is survived by five children: Donald Ladd of Indianapolis, John Wayne Russell and wife Rebecca of Indianapolis, Virgil Thomas Russell and wife Brenda of Harriman, Sara Bell Hawn of Harriman, Michael Lynn Russell and wife Marcella of Harriman; a sister, Lula Nadine Gibson of Harriman; and her ex-husband, Timothy George Hahn.

Graveside services and burial will be held Monday, Jan. 21, at the Ollis Cemetery in Oliver Springs, with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating.
