A Jan. 15 seminar at the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce will address government contracting certifications for women-owned businesses.

The free seminar has been organized by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, and the program will be presented by the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services.

Previous government contracting experience or attendance in a government contracting seminar is strongly encouraged, a press release said.

The seminar, scheduled from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 15, includes a one-hour clinic to help attendees with questions, and participants should bring a laptop or tablet.

The speaker is Paul Middlebrooks, marketing consultant in the University of Tennessee Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

Reservations are required. To sign up, call (865) 483-2668 or email jbangs@tsbdc.org.

The Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce is at 1400 Oak Ridge Turnpike.
