Mike “Beatle” Bailey

Mike “Beatle” Bailey, age 53, of Powell, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He did a lot of charity rides with the Lost Brotherhood, Patriot Guard Riders, GWRRA, toy rides, and cancer rides. Mike enjoyed life and retired from the U.S. Army. His wish was to leave this world the same way he came in…naked, and he did.

Mike was preceded in death by fathers, Charles Harvey Bailey and Estill Hamblin; and mother, Dorothy Bailey. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Harvey and John Bailey, and Robert Hamblin; and sister, Carol Tincher.

Mike is survived by his wife, Debra Bailey; sons, Michael Bailey and wife Bobbi, and Jason Bailey and wife Dianna; daughters, Jessica Wood and husband Todd, and Katrina Eckhardt; nephew, Lee Hickey and wife Melissa; special friends, Vickie Martin, Crystal Root, Nick Miller, and Ray and Bridgett Staekley; several brothers and sisters; an abundance of grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mike’s family received friends on Monday, Jan. 7, in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with his funeral services immediately following, with Rev. Randy Myers officiating.

Mike’s interment was Tuesday, Jan. 8, at East Tennessee State Veterans’ Cemetery in Knoxville, with full military honors.
