Lois Harner, 80, took her journey with the angels on Dec. 27, at her home in Andersonville, surrounded by her family.
She fought her battle with cancer with gracefulness and dignity, in which she lived her entire life. A private service is planned for immediate family only.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio. She was in the finance business before she moved to Tennessee, and she co-owned and operated Sequoyah Marina in Andersonville for almost two decades.
She leaves behind two daughters, Sue Henley of Cookeville and Lisa Rock of Norris; and four grandchildren, Shanna Henley Sampson and husband Chuck, Tiffany Henley, Zach Rock, and Sam Rock; and two great grand-daughters, Gracie and Rowan; many nieces and nephews; a sister Caroline Smith; and a stepmother Iris Moore in Ohio.
She will be sadly missed by those who loved her but welcomed into heaven by her parents and her stepfather Ralph Baker, sister Sharon Sheets, brother Bruce Collinsworth, and son-in-law Leonard Henley.
In lieu of flowers, please give to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
