James Paul Sharp

James Paul Sharp

James Paul Sharp, age 66, of Clinton, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, at his residence.

James loved his family, and his grandchildren were his life. He enjoyed the simple things that God created, and whittling with wood. James grew up in the Gooseneck area and was proud to say he was from there.

He left a testimony of finding the Lord at a young age, and he was ready to meet the Lord.

James was preceded in death by his parents Millard and Ruth Sharp, and his brother, Harley Edgar Sharp.

He is survived by his son, Paul Sharp and Kristin of Powell; daughter, Teresa Harmon and David of Heiskell; brothers, Larry “Coon” Sharp and his wife Carolyn, and Jack Sharp and his wife Robin, all of Clinton; sisters, Dot Burris of Norris, and Angie Price and Susie Riggs, both of Clinton; and grandchildren, Emily Harmon (Papaw’s Little Chicken), Molly Harmon (Little Buddy), and Tylor Sharp (Little Hoss). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

James’ family received his friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with his funeral service immediately following with Rev. Charlie Marlow and Rev. Brian Thomas officiating.

James’ interment will be Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville.
