Jacqulene ‘Jackie’ Griffitts

Jacqulene “Jackie” Griffitts, 78, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Dec. 24 at Parkwest Medical Center.

She was born on June 3, 1934, in Tinsley, Ky., to parents Dan and Lela Mae Brock Gambrel, and retired from Pic-Air as a machinist.

Jackie was preceded in death by her son Danny Rutherford and by daughter Brenda Joyce Roberts.

Her survivors include her husband, Clarence Daniel, and daughter, Jo Ann Dicks (Dennis), all of Oak Ridge; sisters, Myrtle and Cora Gambrel; grandchildren, Michael Bryan (Sheena), Melissa Maupin (Jimbo), and Travis Haun; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Bryan, Taylor Haun, and Drake Maupin.

The funeral service was held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with Chaplain Thomas J. Rayford, Covenant Hospice, officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, 10 a.m., at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family received friends Thursday from 6–8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.com
