Pamela Sue Turner, age 44, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville.
Pamela was born Aug. 31, 1968, in Chapel Hill, N.C. She moved to Oliver Springs in 1971 and later graduated from the Oliver Springs High School in 1987. Following her high school graduation, she became a chef and worked at the Bel-Air Grill.
Ms. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, Kirby Turner and Julia Taylor Turner, and by a special friend, Jordy Phillips.
She is survived by a sister, Karen Whalen and husband Scott of Oliver Springs; by a niece, Jessica Whalen; by a nephew, Justin Whalen; and by a great-nephew, Ashton Whalen, all of Oliver Springs. Pamela is also survived by a host of friends, including long-time friends, Tawna Preston of Knoxville, and Anita Roberts of Lake City.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 8, between 2 and 3 p.m. in the Sharp Funeral Home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memoriable contributions be made to the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter.
