Robert Linden Walker, age 65, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, at St. Mary’s Select Hospital in Knoxville, after a lengthy illness.

He was pre-deceased by his father and mother, Joyce Michael and Arietta Ramsey Walker.

He was born in Rochester, Pa., and was brought to Oak Ridge at the age of six months when his family relocated here. Bob grew up in Oak Ridge and was involved in many sport activities through his graduation from Oak Ridge High School in 1965.

Bob retired from the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant, Security Division, where he worked more than 35 years in service to his country.

Survivors include his wife of more than 33 years, Jane Greever Walker of Karns; sons and daughter-in-love, David Scott Walker of Corryton, and Michael Linden Walker and wife Adrienne of Knoxville; and, granddaughters, Mikayla Claire and Ava Lennox Walker of Knoxville.

He will be missed by many cousins, aunts, in-laws and out-laws and friends.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. Chandler Vinson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.
