David Paul Beem, age 49, of Oliver Springs, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Sept. 29, with his loving family by his side.

He was born Oct. 3, 1962, in West Palm Beach, Fla.; lived in Titusville, Fla., for 10 years; then moved to Oliver Springs in 1975.

David is survived by his mother, Barbara Beem, of Knoxville; father, Burton Beem (Lindy) of Inverness, Fla.; sister, Lori (Frank) Schwartz, of Woodstock, Ga.; sister, Carol Huskey, of Knoxville; brother, Alan Beem, of Oliver Springs; and two nephews and one niece.

David attended Clinton Senior High School and served in the Air National Guard. He was previously employed at Winrock Trucking Company.

He was an accomplished wood carver and enjoyed working on cars. David had a great sense of humor, and he will be sadly missed by family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 4, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. An online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com.
