Margaret Juanita Kesterson, age 85, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, at her home.
Mrs. Kesterson was born April 22, 1927, in Pricedale, Penn., to the late William Preston Matchett and Addie Belcher Matchett.
She was of the Baptist faith, and earlier in life she was employed by McCrory Co. here in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and had just received her 50-year pin.
Margaret was a homemaker and cared for her husband Paul Kesterson until his death in 2008. She was a loving, caring person to all who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents and her husband Paul Margaret, she is preceded in death by her sisters Ruby and Gertrude, and brothers Billy and Charles.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, along with special friends Jane Brown, Darlene Vann, Julie Miller, Marcee Paul, Rita Findley, and a very special friend Evan.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Austin and Rev. Earl McGuffey officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
