Don Bell, a local author and musician, will have his book, “Life of a Secret City Kid,” for sale at the Secret City Festival on Saturday at the Secret City Kid’s booth. The cost of the book is $10.

The book is from a compilation of articles that Bell wrote starting in 2008  for The Oak Ridger and Oak Ridge Observer. Gayla Turner Bailey helped put the book together, and Clifford Smith drew the cover.

Some of the articles include “Growing Up in Oak Ridge,” “Three on the Chicken and Dumpling’s,” and “Four Men and a Burger.” Bell has dedicated the book to all of his Oak Ridge teachers.

Bell is hoping to sell his book at other locations after the Secret City Festival.

Don’s Ciderville group will also be performing at 4 p.m. on Saturday during the Secret City Festival. The group features Marshall Andy, David West, who owns Ciderville music, and Johnny Moore.
