Knoxville Symphony performs April 19 and 20

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra performs Carnival of the Animals at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20, at the Tennessee Theatre.

This concert will feature David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He will be performing Saint-Saens’ Concerto No. 3 for Violin and Orchestra. The orchestra, which is led by Music Director Lucas Richman, will also perform Schubert’s Overture, D. 590 in D Major and his Symphony No. 8, “Unfinished.”

The poet and narrator Jack Prelutsky will be joining the KSO for the Carnival of the Animals, where he will present his poems that were written to accompany this work.
