Albert Wade ‘Al’ Diehl

Albert Wade “Al” Diehl, age 75, passed away on Sunday, July 29, at Serene Manor Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was a charter member of the Dalewood United Methodist Church in Nashville. He served in the United States Coast Guard and completed a master’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee. He taught science, television production, and electronics in the Oak Ridge Schools for 20 years.

Albert was preceded in death by his father, Leslie C. Diehl; mother, Claiborne Wilkes Diehl; and brother Milton R. Diehl.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Herod.

A private graveside service was held in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.

Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
