Jenn Cristy plays music in Oak Ridge

Jenn Cristy

Singer and songwriter Jenn Cristy, front center, performs at A.K. Bissell Park in Oak Ridge on Friday night with guitarist Christopher McConnell, left, drummer Dave Dwinell, and bass player Allen Parauzas.

Singer and songwriter Jenn Cristy, who graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1997, played soul-infused pop rock during a Friday night concert at A.K. Bissell Park.

Cristy’s band, based in Bloomington, Ind., played mostly original songs, but also played some covers.

It was the fourth free concert in this year’s Secret City Sounds concert series, presented by the Arts Council of Oak Ridge and sponsored by the City of Oak Ridge.

Previous shows have featured Jenna and the Accidentals, Aftah Party, and the United States Air Force Band of Mid America with the ensemble Startlifter.

There are more shows in August. The Natti Love Joys will perform on Aug. 10, and Soul Candy and the Traffic Jam will play on Aug. 17.

The Secret City Sounds concert series is now in its fourth season.
