Charlcie Whitner

Charlcie Whitner, age 85, of New River, passed away Sunday, July 1, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Charlcie was the most kind and gentle less soul ever known.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nancy Phillips; husband, Wesley Whitner; and daughter, Wanda Whitner.

Charlcie is survived by a special friend, Ray Hutfles of Georgia; adopted sister, Ada Armes; and also a host of other relatives and friends and numerous cousins.

Charlcie’s family and friends was scheduled to meet at Grave Hill Baptist Church cemetery in New River on Friday, July 6, at 4 p.m. for a graveside service and interment with Rev. Lee Phillips officiating.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
